The depiction of the lime twist seems negative. The lighting and saturation of colors is so dramatic that it gives the lime this toxic feeling. There is no feeling of refreshment, only a slight weariness to consume this. It's like those "This is your brain on drugs" commercials, only this is your brain on bad mixed drinks. You may find this floating in your drink at a rave. There is no connection to high quality or class. The thickness of the twist compiled with the off colors makes it seem like it might be constructed of something other than a lime. The blue in the top left of the photo makes me a bit confused as to where this lime twist is placed. The harsh shadows and deep saturation adds to the confusion of where it is placed. Almost as if this is placed in a back alley doctor's surgery room. Which very may be why I associate a negative feeling with this image.
