I've done so much with this project since we started. These are my finals, at least what i think are my finals. Please if you have any suggestions for improvements, please let me know.

Now I need to refine my icons a little bit; make my key, bow , paper, and perfume more involved with itself... ??? not just outlines...

I'm working on the type. I still need to do shadow and lightening.

But I'm still not even close to being done... I'm going to add more words, like thick, layer, etc.



With shadow, I'm going to start completely over with one idea. I'm going to take cloud out since I already have fog in one composition. I might use the idea of stamping on cotton.

With lightning I'm going to stay away from cutting out letters from paper. Instead I'm going to use the idea that I used on strike. I photographed glass on concrete and used curves to take away all tonal change, then put a crazy font over it and cut it out..... i like strike. :)



Rain is still my favorite. What I'm going to add some more words, like soak, drown, spill, etc.

Luxuria (Lust)- desires of a sexual nature.

Gula (Gluttony)- over indulgence to the point of waste. desire for food.

Averitia (Greed)- sin of excess. mostly involving wealth.

Acedia (Sloth)- sadness, dissatisfaction, failure to utilize one's talents, laziness.

Ira (Wrath)- anger, revenge.

Invidia (Envy)- desire for something someone else has.

Superbia (Pride)- desire to be more important than others.

RAIN: This one is tough.. everything that I do looks great in color, but when printed in black and white it gets muddy. :(
I deleted most of the gross darkness that i believe caused the muddiness, so maybe this is more successful printed.




CLOUD: for my cloud composition I worked with stamps.





CLOUD: Here's a second cloud, where I'm working with white on black. This one started as lightning, but I think cloud is more appropriate... I used stamps and I'm adding some hand generated type.

I've been trying out some stroke variety. I'm liking the round ends with the squared off points. what do you think?

I've also changed my icons. I'm keeping them mostly flattened, no weird paper anymore...
