I had a few combinations in mind;  darts and daggers, dominoes and dictionary, or dime and daisy, but i decided to use the transition between dominoes and dictionary. (how both dictionaries and dominoes are both extremely organized)

variables:

stable- dominant form stands out clear to read what is dominant.  you look at one point first, and it seems to be separate from the background.
reversible- can invert; any one can be primary; can't see both at same time.
ambiguous- no discernible dominant feature. can't tell if there's white on black or black on white.
