magazine spreads

spread 1:
since last class i changed the title to a solid color and i adjusted the intro, changing it from "yucky" all caps to regular type.


spread 2:
i changed the background icons from 5% to 2% opacity.. if that isn't legible then i'm taking them out. then i changed the painting image to van eyck's "The Arnolfini Portrait." The color fits a lot better that that bright yellow one i had last time. I took off the baseline grid in the Junk Food story, changed the color of the boxes from that ugly peach color to this dark maroon, which fits with everything better, I think that was one of my favorite changes. Also, I changed the font to Din Mittelschrift. :)
i moved the images to be full bleed and i moved the junk food story box to the left so it would also be full bleed. I'm still working on the folio b/c it looked just shoved in the corner before. I'm trying to figure out how to add all 3 elements, (page number, date, and title) without looking too crowded or too big. I'm starting to love these spreads. :P
